Blue Monkey Plumbing service van at a North Shore residential home

Proper diagnosis before repair work. Clear pricing before approval. Careful work in finished homes.

That is how we approach residential plumbing on the North Shore - so homeowners know what is wrong, what it will cost, and what to expect before work begins.

Why homeowners feel comfortable booking Blue Monkey

Before booking, most homeowners want to know whether the plumber will communicate clearly, treat the home with care, and stand behind what is promised.

“Blue Monkey came out the next day, explained the fix and the associated costs clearly, and got the kitchen sink draining properly again.”

What a plumbing visit looks like

This is the actual visit process, from first conversation through to approved work and completion.

1

Monkey Hear

We listen first, ask the right questions, and understand what the homeowner has noticed before anything else.

2

Monkey See

We carry out a careful visual, non-invasive check to understand what can be seen without opening up or using tools.

3

Monkey Dig

If the cause is not visible, we explain what is needed to find the cause and only continue with your approval.

4

Monkey Speak

We explain what is going on, what is involved to fix it, and the price before any repair work begins.

5

Monkey Do

Once approved, we carry out the work carefully, test it properly, explain what was done, and clean up before we leave.

In simple terms: we listen, inspect what can be seen, explain the next step, confirm the price, and only move ahead with your approval.

Plumbing for West Vancouver and North Vancouver homeowners

North Shore plumbing problems often show up in finished homes, not empty shells - behind updated bathrooms, under kitchen sinks, around older shut-offs, in utility spaces, and in homes where the visible symptom is not always the real cause. We help West Vancouver and North Vancouver homeowners work out what is actually going on before repair work begins.

The problems homeowners usually call us about

Most plumbing visits start the same way: something is leaking, draining badly, not working properly, or becoming too annoying to ignore.

Water is showing up where it should not

A leak under the sink, a drip that will not stop, dampness where nothing should be damp, or water appearing somewhere that clearly is not right.

The drain is slow, blocked, or backing up

The sink takes forever to empty, the shower holds water, or something in the drainage is clearly no longer flowing the way it should.

The toilet, tap, or fixture is acting up

Running toilets, leaking taps, poor flushing, worn fixtures, and the sort of everyday plumbing problems people put up with until they finally want them sorted properly.

The water pressure feels off

Low pressure, pressure swings, noisy pipes, or that general feeling that something in the house is not working the way it normally does.

There is no hot water - or not enough of it

No hot water at all, temperature that keeps changing, or an electric water heater that is clearly no longer doing its job properly.

Something needs repairing or replacing

Not every call is an emergency. Sometimes something is worn out, loose, leaking, outdated, or simply due to be repaired or replaced.

Questions homeowners often ask before booking

These are the points that usually matter most before someone decides whether to call a plumber into their home.

How does pricing work before repair work begins?
Every visit starts with a $99 call-out and a visual, non-invasive check. If the cause is visible, we explain the price before work begins. If more is needed to find the cause properly, we explain that step first and only continue with your approval.
Do you start repairing before the price is explained?
No. We explain the price, or the agreed range where applicable, before approved repair work goes ahead.
What if the problem is not obvious straight away?
If the cause cannot be confirmed during the initial visual, non-invasive check, we explain what is needed to investigate further before going ahead.
Do you work in finished homes carefully?
Yes. A large part of our day-to-day work is in occupied homes, finished kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and utility spaces where care, communication, and tidy working matter.
What does No Fix No Fee actually mean?
It applies to qualifying work only and is separate from warranty. Where it applies, it means the approved repair charge does not stand if the stated problem is not fixed under the agreed qualifying scenario. Full terms apply.
Which areas do you serve?
We serve West Vancouver, North Vancouver, Lions Bay, and surrounding North Shore neighbourhoods within our service area. See our full Service Areas page.
